Evidence has been piling up lately that RevoZport wants to become the main electrified vehicle tuner this side of the Atlantic. The firm has recently released a whole bunch of custom Tesla cars, and follows it today with this NIO ES8 looking like a BMW i model.
The Chinese performance SUV boasts a new front apron, subtly reshaped bumpers, fender extensions, new side skirts, and a diffusor. Its matte-black body looks livelier and more dynamic thanks to the occasional Electric Blue accents and larger 22-inch wheels.
The blue-and-black gamma carries over into the cabin of the custom NIO ES8 as well. There are also numerous carbon-fiber trim parts on display wherever you look.
According to RevoZport, they wanted the car to assume a more “masculine and aggressive” appearance – an attempt they certainly succeeded in. That said, the BMW i Series similarity still strikes us as uncanny at best.
The R-Zentric Aero Kit will hit the shelves in May. The firm will announce the prices closer to that date.
