The BMW iNEXT, an all-electric SUV currently in development, will be getting a large, curved display as part of its BMW Live Cockpit Professional System, the manufacturer reports.
The Curved Display comes in a magnesium-alloy housing and sports a matte (i.e., reflection and flare-resistant) glass surface. The way it is integrated into the dashboard creates an illusion of ‘floating’, and there are no actual mount points to be seen.
The screen is touch-enabled, and you can move most information widgets where you like them to be.
BMW calls its all-electric iNEXT the ‘technological flagship.’ The SUV is based on the Vision iNEXT Concept and will enter production in Germany in 2021. It will ship with a self-driving system and permanent Internet link.
