Many of us will agree that the 2-Series is a driver-focused, sporty-feeling coupe straight from the factory. For the rest of us, tuning shop AC Schnitzer will be offering dozens of aftermarket parts and options starting in late summer.
The car is expected to get a front splitter for improved front-axle downforce, a two-piece rear spoiler and a roof spoiler. Special spacers can add 12 mm (0.3”) to the track width, while new suspension springs can drop the ride height by 20-25 mm (0.8”-1”). New light alloy wheels sized 19” and 20” will provide a viable replacement for the heavy stock rims.
Interior novelty boils down to small improvements like aluminum paddle shifters, pedal pads and kick plates, as well as a sports steering wheel wrapped in leather and artificial suede. Owners of the M240i model (regardless whether xDrive or not) can opt for a power boost to 420 PS (414 hp / 309 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque.
New entries may be added to the catalog later. Prices should become available closer to the sales launch in late August.
