Tuners all around the world are offering performance boosts for all kinds of cars these days, and Germany is one of the leaders. Let us see how four vehicles from that country compare against each other with a bit of performance tweaking.

There is a heavily modified VW Golf R with its 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine producing 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW). Finally, there are an Audi RS 3 and a Mercedes-AMG A 45 both pushing out 503 PS (496 hp / 370 kW).
The BMW takes advantage of a 3.0-liter inline-six turbo, while the rest of the bunch makes do with four or five cylinders. The Bavarian is also the heaviest of the lineup, while the Golf is the lightest. All four are all-wheel-drive.
