Car spotters have already had ample opportunity to make photos of the upcoming BMW 2 Series Active Tourer during its wintertime tests and on the North Loop. Today, multiple test vehicles were spotted in the Alps.
Unfortunately for us, everything interesting remains covered by a thick camo wrap. On a brighter note, we now have a few interior pics showing the new dashboard and infotainment screens, as well as reduced hardware controls.
Overall, the new 2 Series AT looks like its predecessor did, except for the larger radiator grille, redesigned glass dome, and side mirrors moved to a different position.
The wheelbase becomes longer, but this matter little because the compact van will only be available as a five-seater in its new generation: the seven-seat Gran Tourer version leaves the range for now.
The model will ship with the same selection of three- and four-cylinder turbo engines as the 2 Series Gran Coupe. As for the launch, we expect it to take place next year.
