Have a look at the restored 1971 BMW E9 Coupe by Mike Burroughs

Mike Burroughs, from StanceWorks, restored this unique BMW E9 2800CS several years ago, giving it expensive new wheels and air-ride suspension. Let us revisit this excellent project!

The car, which came out in 1971, received a set of HRE Performance 501 multi-piece forged wheels 18 inches in diameters. The stylish classical spoke pattern and finely polished rims look breathtaking on the car body, lending it elegance and understatement. Granted, you could as well buy an urban subcompact for that kind of money, but this is not how tuning works.

Air Lift Performance suspension grants the coupe its low stance, while McPherson components ensure excellent handling and performance. As usual, you can raise and lower it anytime using a handy remote control.

A fully restored body wraps up the list. The only major addition here is the BMW E3/E9 CSL Street Look bumper at the front end; the rest stays stock. The same applies to the cabin, which makes do with a few ornamental Nardi applications and a full refurbishment.
