BMW iNext spotted testing in production body

It seems like the reveal of BMW’s cutting-edge tech flagship – the iNext – is right around the corner. In the meantime, car spies have discovered it testing in what looks like a finalized production body.

In late July, the company showed us the front fascia that the new model will sport instead of the conventional radiator grille. The test vehicle can be clearly seen wearing this exact fascia, even though camo wrap conceals the rest.

The company says that the production SUV will ship with an SAE Level 3 self-driving tech, high-speed Internet support, tech-heavy cabin trim, and a HUD. It will be sized somewhere between the X3 and the X5 and have an X5-like interior layout. Three powertrains will be available ranging from 313 to 620 metric horsepower (309 – 611 hp; 230 – 456 kW).

Production remains scheduled for next summer.
