This E36-generation BMW 328i Convertible had several body components transplanted from a much more recent E46 model, and has recently been sold for €10,000 in Germany.
The owner took a 1995 BMW 3 Series (shown in the video) and had it outfitted with new bumpers, side sills, fenders, M3 quad exhaust system, and E46 Xenon headlights. The hood was also replaced, while the taillights and the trunk lid were allowed to stay stock.
The brown leather interior houses M3 seats, an Alpina odometer, and as many as three displays: one for the multimedia unit and the other two for second-row occupants.
Other mods included custom wheels and air suspension. The seller admitted that there was a negligent amount of rust on the body and no recent vehicle inspection certificate.
According to the description in the ad, the owner of the E36 kept its 2.8-liter inline-six in perfect operating condition despite nearly 300,000 kilometers (186,000) miles under the belt. A five-speed transmission still directs the torque to the rear end.
