LivingLifeFast has just posted a new video on YouTube dedicated to a classical BMW 323i Coupe from the 80s that received a V8 engine swap courtesy of a BMW E39 donor.
In order to fit the S62 block into the engine bay the hood had to be cut in places, so a new hood with a motor dome may be a needed here. In its stock form, the engine produced 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW), but the build has it running at 440 PS (434 hp / 324 kW). Since the car weighs barely more than one metric ton (2,200 lbs), it should be more than adequate.
Other notable improvements include an added differential, Bilstein suspension, aftermarket headlights and lightweight windows all around. The fender flares are metal rather than plastic, and the interior houses a roll cage along with bucket seats and a steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara.
