This 1990 BMW 324td has only 7,100 kilometers (4,412 miles) under its belt and is reportedly in perfect condition. The asking price is €28,000, down from the original €30,000 likely due to low interest.
The sedan is authentic and was rarely used due to the medical condition of the driver preventing them from daily trips. The family still made sure to keep the four-door classic in top condition with regular maintenance.
Power for the 324td comes from a six-cylinder turbo diesel engine rated at 115 PS (113 hp / 85 kW). Back in its era, the mill was considered the most powerful and technologically sophisticated diesel engine in the world. It also found use in the E34 5-Series prior to being phased out by a new engine rated at 143 PS (141 hp / 105 kW). The latter proved so popular it even made it into the 7-Series.
Speaking of the trim level, it is quite high with power windows on the front doors, power mirrors, interior draped in grey velour, and even an air conditioner – a rarity for an E30 BMW. The OEM radio is bundled with the purchase: the owner bought it separately and never installed. The exterior keeps its original paint coat, and the interior reportedly still has that distinct ‘new car’ smell.
