This BMW 3-Series Touring is an LS V8-powered rocket with 850 PS

Few would seriously consider swapping a wagon like the E91 BMW 328xi to a six-liter General Motors engine, but a recent YouTube video sheds light on just such a swap.

The tuner dismantled the stock inline-six unit and put an LQ4 block in its place. The LQ4 can be found in a number of GM vehicles made in the late 1990s and early-to-mid 2000s, including the Hummer H2. Thanks to a further tune, this example makes 850 PS (838 hp / 625 kW) and 1,152 Nm (850 lb-ft) of torque at the wheels. A custom-fabricated turbo manifold and a number of other components had to be ordered for the project.

Elsewhere, the one-off 3-Series Touring relies on a Chevrolet Camaro six-speed manual transmission to drive the wheels, while the all-wheel-drive system stays stock. It also features an aftermarket coupling and electronic differential.
