According to an anonymous Internet source, the next-generation BMW 3-Series G20 may get a high-performance diesel engine in addition to its standard fare. The series may include such modifications as the M340i M Performance, M340d xDrive M Performance, and M3.

For one, the new BMW M340i M Performance is universally expected to come equipped with a three-liter supercharged V6 capable of roughly 360 horsepower. The top-of-the-line BMW M340d xDrive M Performance may ship with a 3.0-liter, six-cylinder diesel with at least 320 hp under the hood.
BMW has earlier announced the release of a new M440i M Performance Coupe and BMW M440d M Performance Coupe.
