A BMW 3-Series coupe belonging to the relatively unpopular E21 generation is on sale in Germany right now for a steep asking price of €49,000. Half that sticker buys you a reasonably used E60 M5, but wait till you discover just how much E60 M5 this sneaky 3-Series contains in it.
Specifically, the coupe rides on M5 wheels and boasts perforated brake rotors accompanied by red calipers. It flaunts custom metallic fender flares, a new front bumper and some other aftermarket additions, as well as blacked-out trim all around and a trunk lid spoiler.
Where things get truly radical is under the hood, where the ten-cylinder engine of the E60 mentioned above toils producing 608 PS (600 hp / 447 kW). This is a hundred horsepower more than stock, but the seller only mentions an active-valve exhaust system and tuned ECUs under modifications. We would imagine the full list being much longer.
Rounding off the crazy project is a cabin also ‘inspired’ by the M5 – in the sense that it was literally swapped out for an M5 cabin. This covers the entire dashboard, the gauges and the whole center console. Even the SMG gearbox lever is present, but only because it still connects to the original E60 transmission.
The mileage is not stated.
