Ever since the BMW Concept 4 debuted last fall, everyone has been failing to shut up about how utterly disproportionate its radiator grille was. After much debating and many spy shots showing the coupe in disguise, the new 4 Series finally showed up in a state of partial frontal nudity.
As you can see, the controversial ‘nostril grille’ is still in place and as big as ever. The narrow-slit LED headlights have also made it from concept to pre-production without major changes.
The new generation should celebrate its official premiere in the coming months and go on sale before the year-end.
It is worth noting that BMW is well aware of the controversy, but seems determined to fit its entire lineup with grilles like this one – to stand out, if nothing else.
