BMW has unveiled what it calls the “M Sport Pro Shadow Edition Coupe”, essentially a souped-up 4 Series meant exclusively for its customers in Russia. Here are some details.
The Black Sapphire Metallic paint creates a compelling contrast with the Shadow Line body kit and headlights designed by BMW Individual. The M Sport Pro package is also present, introducing 19-inch wheels clad in variable-width tires, red brake calipers, a rear spoiler, parking assistance and other neat features. The BMW Sprint system unlocks engine and gearbox tweaks aimed at improving maneuverability and acceleration during passing.
Crack open the door, and you will be greeted by black Vernasca leather adorned with blue stitching, as well as aluminum details, power-adjusted M Sport seats, and special safety harnesses. The feature sheet goes on to list the entire BMW Live Cockpit Professional package, including the Connected Professional pack and the Harman/Kardon Surround Sound speaker set.
Only one spec is available in the Shadow Edition, and that’s the 420d xDrive. The two-liter turbocharged diesel engine delivers up to 190 hp (142 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) to the wheels, accelerating the coupe to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.5 seconds and to 238 km/h (148 mph) at most.
