Car spotted have tracked out and photographed a pre-production BMW 4 Series Convertible with its soft top and enormous grille. The latter seems identical to that of its coupe-shaped twin (see video).
The car only had some disguise at the rear end, suggesting that this would be the most changed part. The front looks identical to the coupe, boasting the same “nostrils” spanning from the hood to the lower bumper.
As evidenced by the black radiator grille bezel, black wheels and blue calipers, the car must be upgraded to the M Sport spec.
The engine palette remains unannounced BMW 4 Series Convertible. Industry observers expect it to get two turbocharged four-cylinders rated at 184 and 258 hp (137 and 192 kW), as well as two turbo diesel-based mild hybrids with 190 and 286 hp (142 and 213 kW). The top-of-the-line trim version will probably be rated at 374 hp (279 kW).
The launch is expected later this year.
