The BMW 5-Series E60 may not be the best-looking executive car out there, but its acceleration dynamics is certainly impressive. In its hi-end version, it comes equipped with a formidable V10 engine capable of 507 hp (378 kW) and 520 Nm (384 lb×ft) of torque. It also accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 4.7 seconds.
But our today’s hero is a diesel-powered BMW 5 Series E60 (535d). Before it entered the competition, it received a Stage 3 engine upgrade from the stocky 272 hp (203 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb×ft) of torque to the much more impressive 440 hp (328 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb×ft).
Hit ‘Play’ and see the Bavarian sedan go up against such serious contenders as the BMW M5 F90 and the Tesla Model S Shooting Brake.
