After cranking the BMW X5 M and X6 M up to 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) in January, German tuner dÄHLer now offers a boost kit for the G05 M50i.
The SUV leaves the factory with eight cylinders, 4.4 liters of displacement, 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. The Stage 1 kit available now raises the power by 90 PS (89 hp / 66 kW) and the torque by 100 Nm (74 lb-ft). All emissions remain within acceptable limits, while the top speed increases to 270 km/h (167.8 miles per hour).
An even more powerful Stage 2 upgrade is still in development and incorporates a full custom-built exhaust system with four ceramic tips sized 101mm (4 inches) across. An active valve for exhaust sound tuning is on the options list.
Customers can already fit their X5 M50i with conventional lowering springs, and a coilover kit with adjustable height and stiffness is underway to the market. Wrapping up the offer are dÄHLer CDC1 luxury forged wheels sized 23x11 wrapped in 305/30 R23 tires. Despite the size, the aftermarket wheels only weigh in at two-thirds of the OEM weight and come in a wide assortment of finishes.
