A heavily disguised prototype of an all-electric BMW 5 Series has been recently spotted in Germany in what looked like its final production body.
Starting with the most polarizing part, the radiator grille looks rather large, but still not as over-the-top as on the new 4 Series and the i4. A tiny spoiler can be found on the trunk, and while the cabin is invisible, curved displays and a new infotainment GUI are at the top of our list of expectations.
The stickers on the rear bumper suggest that BMW is testing hybrid and all-electric modifications. The 5 Series EV will be assembled in Dingolfing, where the iX SUV entered production several days ago. As for the hybrid power, the latest 5 Series already offers a few options in this regard (watch the video for an overview).
Knowing BMW, the official premiere will likely only take place next year.
