An all-electric wagon from the BMW 5-Series lineup has recently been spotted driven on the streets. It is believed that the production car will utilize the same drivetrain as the BMW iX (see video).
The prototype vehicle was wrapped in camo, but some of the design traits are still in full view. This includes a flat hood identical to the 5-Series sedan, redesigned headlights and a downsized radiator grille.
Overall, the car looks rather reserved with its smooth, flowing body lines. The c-pillars are quite wide, and there are stickers confirming that the drivetrain is fully electric.
If the internals are shared with the iX, this means the wagon would get up to 540 PS (533 hp / 397 kW). Red brake calipers suggest that the test car has plenty of power at its disposal.
