There are multiple ways to look at the design direction BMW is headed in right now. For all the critics out there, there are surprisingly many people who seem entirely fine with the rough styling and the oversized grilles. But would you deliberately cut up your classic BMW to make it look like a modern one? Unici Design seems to believe so.
The shop is working on a complex front end replacement for the E39 BMW 5-Series that, once installed, will make it look like the G80 generation. The full set will include dual kidney grilles, a front bumper, air intakes and a hood. The halogen headlights stay the same, but Unici plans to replace them with better-fitting LED ones later on.
Plans also exist for fender flares, a double rear spoiler and imitated air vents around the rear window. The E39 seen here rides on modern alloy wheels and has lowered suspension, too.
The styling kit is still in development at this point, with the prices and availability info expected in a few months.
