BMW Motorrad has unveiled R18 The Crown, a uniquely styled motorbike created by Kingston Custom and its leading industrial designer, Dirk Öhlerking.
The Crown is based on the stock BMW R18 Cruiser bike model, but you won’t recognize it over all the new aluminum bodywork hand-crafted by Öhlerking himself. The same applies to the eight-liter fuel tank, and major modifications have also been made to the frame and the front suspension. The front wheel is mounted on a swingarm with a shock absorber in the middle.
The exhaust system and the leather-trimmed seat have also been made by hand. Some components, like the engine, the rear suspension, the headlight, the dashboard and the assorted controls have been carried over from the original.
What awaits the one-off bike in the future remains to be seen.
