BMW to debut all-electric iX3 Concept SUV at Beijing

The new all-electric BMW iX3 Concept crossover SUV is likely to be officially revealed at the Beijing Motor Show starting on April 25, 2018. According to Harald Krüger, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG, the company will introduce its newest vehicle this year to begin production in 2020.

It has earlier been made official that the new BMW iX3 will essentially represent an electrified version of the BMW X3 G01 SUV. At the same time, it’s going to sport an appearance markedly different from that of its ICE counterpart.

The market launch of the BMW iX3 will mark a milestone in the history of the German car manufacturer, paving way for an entire series of environmentally-friendly cars. BMW hopes to build as many as 25 electrified car models in the foreseeable future, roughly a half of which are going to come equipped with a fully electric drivetrain.
