Japanese tuner turns BMW 635CSi (E24) into a badass track ride

Up until now, we haven’t been hearing much from Coutner, Japanese tuner that apparently isn’t widely known overseas. Today, however, the company released an interesting take on the BMW 635CSi (E24) that we’d like to show you.

The classical sports car used to be manufactured from 1975 until 1989. Had it fallen into the hand of a European or North American tuner team, we would be looking forward to a carefully crafted vanilla-style restomod. Japan, on the other hand, cares little for such subtleties, as you may see all too well on the photos below.

The aggressive body kit includes huge bolt-on fenders, a massive front apron with an integrated spoiler, wide air vents both front and rear, and a grotesque high-rise rear wing. Aside from that, the car sports a low stance and a set of BBS Motorsport E88 18” forged rims.

The interior of the vehicle has been stripped of all and sundry, as befits a track tool. There is a roll cage taking up the space where the rear seats used to be, and minimalistic bucket seats in front.

Alright, how do you like this BMW 635CSi (E24) by Coutner?
