KW Suspensions usually designs aftermarket suspension upgrades for modern cars, so it likely felt like trying something new when it revealed coilovers for the classical BMW 6 Series Coupé (E24).
The legendary 6 Series Mk1 came out in 1976 and stayed in production until the spring of 1989. For a while, it seemed that everyone forgot about the classics, but its popularity began growing again over the past few years. Naturally, tuners couldn’t just stand aside.
KW Suspension says the coilovers (the set is called ‘Raab Variant 3’) can be used to reduce the clearance by between 45 and 60 millimeters (1.8 – 2.4 inches) at the front axle and 40 – 60 mm (1.6” – 2.4”) at the rear axle. You can also adjust compression and rebound on a per-wheel basis.
