BMW Chief Designer has openly admitted that some markets just don’t show enough interest in the Six Series GT and won’t miss it if it were to disappear. Soon, the full-size liftback will no longer be available in the United States.
The model enjoys brisk sales in China, but not in Europe or the States. According to a company representative, customers in developed countries like Italy, Germany and Great Britain prefer classical wagons and 5 Series sedans to liftbacks.
This by no means heralds the discontinuation of the 6 Series, because it still sells well in China and a number of other markets.
