Interior customizer Carlex Design has rolled out its latest project. Working with a BMW 6-Series dating back to the 1980s, the company reupholstered the interior in a vintage fashion. The example seen here is on sale for €130,000, and six more are coming soon.
In its freshly aged rendition, the BMW coupe has new, ergonomically improved seats. The pillars all around, the door panels and even the trunk area are trimmed with dark brown leather and Alcantara that Carlex designers had spent a while conditioning for this special “antique” look.
Aside from the handmade trim, the car wound up with a vintage-style audio system, enhanced noise proofing, PK coilovers in the suspension and retro-themed BBS wheels.
The project took 1,200 work-hours to complete.
