The automaker is seriously considering a limited series of Concept Skytop targas.
According to BMW Design Director Adrian van Hooydonk, the company doesn’t rule out the possibility that the recently unveiled Skytop targa goes into production. He said that between 20 and 25 units would be optimal.
In the same interview, Van Hooydonk has also confirmed our earlier speculation that the design study was based on the same chassis as the latest M8 Competition Cabriolet. As such, it should be relatively easy to bring into production, which has been penciled in for the next year.
