Drag races are always fun to watch, but the tension increases a whole lot when the participant vehicles belong to the same brand but different weight categories. Behold a showdown between BMW 760Li xDrive, a power-hungry flagship sedan, and BMW M4 Competition, an agile performance coupe.
The BMW M760Li xDrive comes equipped with a monstrous 6.6-liter, twin-turbo V12 engine capable of 609 hp (454 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb·ft) of torque. Despite its weight and bulky dimensions, it sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds.
The other contender, the BMW M4 Competition, comes with a much humbler 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine that’s only good for 425 hp (317 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb·ft) of torque. It achieves the same acceleration in 4.0 seconds.
Watch the video to find out who came out the winner. Don’t make assumptions, though: the suspense holds until the end.
