BMW 7 Series PHEV and BEV spied testing

The Bavarian carmaker has been polishing the next generation of its 7 Series for quite a while now, and it is official that the range goes part-electric now. The fresh batch of spy photos suggests that EVs won’t look much different from standard ICE cars.

A plug-in hybrid 7 Series test vehicle was spotted running next to the pure EV. This may be the promised new M750i spec, or a different one. The car has dual tailpipes, charger ports in both rear fenders, and ‘Electric Test Vehicle’ stickers. It also boasts wheels that are different from those of the pure EV; other than that, the two appear identical.

Judging by the interior wrapped with thick camo, we should be looking forward to quite a revolution in design of the 7 Series – perhaps as much of one as the Mercedes S-Class went through this summer.
