As we reported yesterday, BMW will preview its 2022 7-Series sedan at the IAA Mobility show in Munich this year. While the show is still a fair distance away, let’s take a close look at these intriguing spy photos made earlier today.
We had already seen a few shots of the new 7-Series interior, but those either pictured early pre-production cars or had everything wrapped in camouflage. The today’s pics finally allow us a glimpse of some production-ready features.
The main highlight comes in the form of a giant solid display incorporating a digital dash panel and an infotainment display. The curved glass covers what looks like the exact same panels as the ones found in the iX SUV and the i4 Gran Coupe. In those two models, the dash cluster measures 12.3 inches across and the multimedia screen 14.9 inches.
Another peculiarity concerns the steering wheel: note the lower spoke that appears to be made of metal, as well as the sensor controls.
