BMW will be updating the 7-series later this year, but in the meantime, Manhart tackles the current generation with a custom 740d xDrive.
The Manhart MH7 model has been around since 2015, but this is the first time a diesel spec was chosen for the conversion. In its stock form, a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine comes equipped with dual turbos and makes 320 PS (316 hp / 235 kW) along with 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. Once tuned, it rises to 405 PS (400 hp / 298 kW) and 790 Nm (583 lb-ft). This means it essentially outperforms the retired quad-turbo flagship, the 750d.
An eight-speed automatic transmission sends the power to all four wheels as the xDrive spec normally does. The photos depict a car with stock exhaust and brakes, but customers are welcome to order aftermarket upgrades as they see fit.
The body of the SUV wears a relatively restrained body kit with a front splitter and a lip spoiler being the most noticeable elements. A black-and-gold Manhart livery comes optional, as does the 22-inch Manhart Venturi wheel set. The suspension is lower than stock, and the wheels are installed using 15mm (0.6”) H&R spacers.
Novelty inside boils down to Alpina gauges and a steering wheel badge, but you can order anything up to a complete makeover if interested.
The styling package comes in at just under €15,000 with all the bells and whistles included, while the power upgrade costs another €7,000.
