BMW is wrapping up work on its new 7-Series and should be unveiling all the trim levels and specifications later this year, including the all-electric i7. In the meantime, the car has been spotted running street tests with not much camo on.
The front bumper looks production-ready, as do the two-tier headlights with the DRLs above and low/high beams below. The rear fascia stays camouflaged, which suggests some farther-reaching modifications there. Since the Bavarian premium marque is undergoing a major stylistic transformation now, this is not surprising.
The 7-Series is expected to ship with a wide variety of engine options, including PHEV. Earlier rumors claimed the hybrid spec would output 567 PS (560 hp / 418 kW) in total, while the all-electric i7 would churn out 658 PS (650 hp / 485 kW). The latter will be based on the fifth-gen eDrive architecture, just like the iX and the i4.
