Within a few days of the Essen Motor Show, car tuner AC Schnitzer has revealed a complex upgrade program for the BMW 8 Series. The company emphasized that the car was only a prototype, and that it would only make it into series given enough public interest.
Compared to the regular BMW 8, the tuned-up vehicle sports an upgraded engine lineup with 600 hp / 447 kW (850i xDrive) or 380 hp / 283 kW (840d xDrive Diesel). The former additionally gets a sports exhaust system with four tailpipes.
The executive car has also gained a CFP / FRP body kit, AC3 forged wheels and lowered suspension. Interior changes are minimal.
We will be hearing more about the upgrade during the Essen Motor Show.
