Such well-known tuners as Manhart, Speed-Buster and AC Schnitzer have already pushed out their upgrades for the latest BMW M850i xDrive (G15). Today, G-Power has announced its plans to join the club in the near future. What should we expect?
The team will almost definitely want to release a power upgrade for the stock twin-turbo V8 the M850i ships with. Originally rated at 530 hp (395 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lbft) of torque, it features better pistons, connecting rods and liners, an improved piston housing and larger turbine chargers.
Now, an engine like this is not by any means easy to work with, but G-Power has a highly professional tuner team, and we don’t doubt that they will manage it one way or another. A while ago, the company released a power kit for the BMW M550i bringing an additional 138 hp (103 kW) and 160 Nm (118 lbft) to the table. The upgrade for the M850i could offer a similar or better result.
