The new BMW 8 Series is an incredibly versatile coupe that lends itself easily to such tasks as travel, business trips and even amateur racing. With the new H&R spring set released today, the manufacturer claims, its dynamics should rival that of the GTE racecar.
Once upgraded, the vehicle sinks a further 30 mm (1.17”) closer to the ground, which improves handling at high speeds, especially when making sharp turns. At the same time, the new sports-grade springs still manage to remain soft enough so as not to inconvenience you during long trips.
Aside from the obvious practical benefit, the new H&R components bring about a change in the vehicle’s aesthetics as well, aligning the wheels perfectly with their respective arches. Should you want to fine-tune your wheels, optional Trak+ spacers are available starting at €45 in Germany. The complete spring set costs €450.
