BMW M850i ascends to 680 HP / 500 kW

The new BMW M850i Coupe is quickly gaining popularity among tuners all around the world. More and more aftermarket companies target it with fresh options and accessories. Belgian tuner BR-Performance joins their ranks today with a power kit for the model.

The Stage 1 kit is already available for ordering and lends the stock 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine an extra 150 hp / 110 kW along with 100 Nm / 74 lbft of torque. This results in an impressive grand total of 680 hp / 500 kW and 850 Nm / 627 lbft.

The firm did not quote any acceleration-related specs, but you may get a rather clear idea from the following comparison. G-Power’s closest BMW 8-Series upgrade is rated at 670 hp / 493 kW and 890 Nm / 656 lbft of torque. Once applied, the car sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.1 seconds and doesn’t hit its speed ceiling until 320 km/h (199 mph). The BMW M850i Coupe should show similar results.
