As it turns out, the Bavarian car manufacturer wants to launch a coupe-shaped X7 into mass production in two years.
BMW’s newest SUV will obviously primarily appeal to those who don’t mind the enormous radiator grille, the bulky dimensions, and the X6-style slanted roof design. According to anonymous sources, it will be called the X8 - and is already under development.
The alleged BMW X8 will reportedly share the platform and tech with the X7 depicted here, but ship with a new, more powerful powertrain not available for the X7. This might mean the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 of the M5, but no official confirmation exists to date.
