BMW will be offering its Japanese customers a special version of the 8 Series Gran Coupe that will only be available until the end of July. All of the updates are purely aesthetic, meaning that the inline-six under the hood stays stock.
The car boasts exterior and cabin trim pieces finished in chrome and rides on new 20-inch alloys with a fashionable bi-color look.
No interior photos have been published yet, but the company claims the Collector’s Edition has sports seats wrapped completely in merino leather, Alcantara on the ceiling, and a color scheme that looks especially great in juxtaposition with the body.
The old twin-turbo I6 with three liters of displacement continues to pump out its 335 PS (330 hp / 246 kW) along with 500 Nm (370 lb-ft) of torque.
Prices and availability remain to be announced.
