A BMW 850Ci Coupe is on sale in Germany with quite a few inexplicable aftermarket mods on, including nose and tail components obviously scavenged from other, cheaper cars.
The flagship comes powered by a 5.0-liter V12 and manual transmission and costs €12,999 to buy. It has Fiat Barchetta headlamps and a bizarre radiator grille, as well as a new hood cover and front fenders.
In the back, the taillights originate from an E36 BMW 3 Series and also cut into the fenders. Inside, seats with impressive lateral support have been added alongside a Momo steering wheel.
The seller claims all the modifications were performed by a previous owner of the car, and while most have been made legal, the steering wheel and the taillights haven’t.
In its non-spoiled form, the car was a 1993 BMW 850i armed with a 12-cylinder engine good for 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW). The ad description claims it is automatic, but a gear level with a round knob can be clearly seen on the pictures. Aside from certain body defects, it is in a good driving condition with 135,000 km (83,885 miles) on the odo.
