Fate has played a cruel trick on the BMW 8-Series Coupe (E31): initially a poor seller, the model then proceeded to become everyone’s favorite – but not before the manufacturer gave up on it. A particularly rare RHD 840Ci modification of the car has recently been given an air-ride suspension upgrade.
The idea was to prepare the ride for this year’s Ultimate Dubs show in the UK. There were no ready-made air suspension kits available for the E31 M8, though, and the owner asked the team of Car Audio Security for a custom upfit.
If you are interested in all the ins and outs of the build, your best bet would be to watch the video. For our part, we will just say that the result both works as intended and looks gorgeous, and the hardware that goes in the trunk is concealed very neatly, too.
Next on the list are the installation of a high-end audio system and some snazzy rims. We are excited to see what the finished build will look like!
