Bottoms Up: BMW will prevent you from spilling your drink

BMW has patented an innovative system of cup filling that would save you the time and effort required to clean the interior of the car after you spill a drink.

It operates on the same principle as the one employed in Bottoms Up appliances: the cups get filled from the bottom upwards through a special one-way valve.

Preliminary data suggests that the cars will ship with two separate reservoirs for drinks. Special fasteners will ensure that the cups stay firmly in place during the entire ride.

The latest BMW 7 Series and Rolls-Royce cars will likely be the first to benefit from the new feature. The latter offers the most luxuriously equipped minibars on the market. For example, the Cullinan SUV series features a fridge hidden under the center console, a champagne bucket, wine glasses, and a decanter.
