BMW has unveiled the i4 eDrive35, the cheapest i4 liftback alongside the already available eDrive40 and M50.
Powering this new version is a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle making 286 PS (282 hp / 210 kW). A 66-kWh traction battery gives the car 490 kilometers (304 miles) of range. For comparison, the two higher specs take advantage of a larger 81.5-kWh battery pack, but all three variants need between 5.7 and 6 seconds for the launch, making their performance comparable.
Other than the motor, the new liftback offers the same selection of trims and options as its cousins, including a curved display uniting the digital dashboard and the infotainment system under one screen.
The BMW i4 eDrive35 will enter production in Munich, Germany in November. Pre-orders are already being processed with the US version starting from $52,395.
