According to Carscoops, the biggest German automotive corporations have managed to bolster their electric vehicle sales in 2023 compared to the last year. BMW in particular raised its sales by 80%, and Mercedes-Benz was not far behind with +66%.
In the third quarter alone, BMW has moved 93,931 EVs (including those with MINI branding), showing a 79.6-percent year-on-year improvement. If we remove MINI from the equation and look exclusively at BMW, the dynamic will be even better at 100.3%. The i4 and iX1 models shown below led the sales worldwide.
As for the Mercedes, it has sold 61,600 in Q3 2023 and performed 66% better than in the same period last year. The tri-point star company’s best-selling EVs were EQA and EQB – both models have found nearly twice as many buyers as in 2022.
