Leaked technical specs of the entry-level BMW i7 EV are spreading online, so let’s take a look at them.
It is reported that the luxury sedan will come equipped with dual electric motors jointly rated at 544 PS (536 hp / 400 kW). It will offer AWD and make use of a large 100-kWh battery that would ensure continuous driving for up to 500 kilometers (310 miles).
Another rumor claims that the i7 series will include a performance car rated above the current-gen M760Li with its 609 PS. Specifically, it is said to pack 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW).
The company does not provide any specific launch timeframe for the i7, but says it will only go into production after the iX SUV. This likely means year 2023 or so.
