The Bavarian automaker has unwrapped the final production version of its Vision iNext Concept, which is titled the iX. Let’s discover the first details.
The large all-electric crossover SUV comes based on a brand-new platform the parameters of which remain undisclosed so far. The technical specs of the production car are also preliminary at this point: we are promised dual electric motors rated at 500 horsepower (373 kilowatts) or better, as well as acceleration from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under five seconds.
The BMW iX draws its power from a 100-kWh traction battery, which should grant it 600+ km (400+ miles) of WLTP-rated range. Charging is possible from a 200kW station, and it will take around 40 minutes to go from 10 to 80 percent full.
