The BMW iX e-SUV had only recently been introduced (watch the video if you missed it), but someone discovered it sitting on a curb in Munich, Germany.
Remember when BMW promised us that the new grille would look better next to other cars? Unfortunately, this appears to be very far from truth here. Generic-looking slim LEDs for headlights, disproportionate nostrils and a bulky body provide an impression that is altogether not pleasant. The stickers say “Electric Test Vehicle”, but it looks market-ready at this point.
Then again, BMW still has time for design edits: the model will only arrive in North America in early 2022, for example. The company promises us 500+ horsepower, 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) sprint time under five seconds, and over 600 km (400 miles) of WLTP-rated driving range.
