BMW M2 gets remodeled into a track tool

The tuner team over at TPS Performance has shown us all that the BMW M2 has an outstanding tuning potential. A few technical upgrades proved to be enough for it to turn into a real track tool.

The tuners started with an M2 Performance, normally rated at 410 hp (306 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lbft) of torque. They have replaced the stock hood and trunk covers with ones made of carbon. The hood cover received additional air openings styled after those found in the GTR versions of the car. The team is currently working on adding a rear wing.

The sports coupe has also received HRE FF04 forged wheels wrapped in Michelin Cup 2 racing tires. For the new “shoes” to look the best way possible, the suspension has been slightly lowered.

And it goes without saying that there was a power upgrade as well. The team has succeeded in squeezing the engine for an additional 90 hp and 140 Nm of torque, bringing the total to 500 hp (373 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lbft). For the driver to be able to cope with this kind of power, they have also upgraded the brakes.

On the inside, the car received a roll cage and Recaro seats with racing-grade safety belts.
