Bavarian automaker BMW began testing its novelty - a
four-door coupe 2-Series called GranCoupe. The first photos have already leaked
to the Internet, and the premiere of the car will be held next year. If we talk
about the changes, it should be noted that the new coupé differs from the
standard coupe with additional doors, a modified design of the radiator grille,
headlights and roof.
On the technical characteristics of the machine until
nothing is reported, but experts say that the 2-Series GranCoupe will be
front-wheel drive.
Interestingly the fact that next year the Bavarian
automaker is going to release the GranCoupe version of the revived 8-Series
coupe. This model is also known little, but it is rumored that it will be
equipped with a diesel V6 and 4.4-liter V8. Also, its hybrid version is planned
for release.
Recall, the company recently held a presentation of
the new generation coupe BMW M240i. Designers called it the M Performance
Edition and put under the hood a 3.0-liter gasoline engine. The unit is able to
accelerate the car to 100 km/h in little more than 4 seconds, and its maximum
speed is 250 km/h.
