Video: 710-HP BMW M2 can be driven, but it is scary

The YouTube team of Officially Gassed has snatched an opportunity to test an extremely tuned BMW M2 Competition (F87) upgraded with the TTE740 engine kit. The verdict is, the car is not for the faint-hearted.

Designed by The Turbo Engineers, the tuning kit consists of better turbos, a methanol injection system, reinforced transmission components and a new exhaust. Complete with a tweaked ECU, these mods culminate in 720 PS (710 hp / 529 kW) and 922 Nm (680 lb-ft) of torque reaching the wheels. That has got to make a true supercar out of the M2, right?

Wrong, of course. There is more to supercars than just raw power, and this particular M2 proves a hell to handle on the road – especially since it struggles with traction in lower gears. If an experienced reviewer was scared to take it through the rounds, imagine what a normal driver would feel!
